"Rough cast" A5 is about 98% identical to a regular "polished" A5.
"Unoriented" A5 (aka: UOA5) on the other hand, has a much more noticeable difference because of the altered internal structure of the magnet. They are naturally weaker than regular (oriented) A5 and exhibit qualities more inline with what you might expect from something like an A2, but with an output that sits between the two. It's a great magnet that doesn't get enough attention sometimes!
