59 Or APII bridge? Similitude and Difference

I have doubts about 59 and APII, I lisent to the audio samples and both sound suspiciously similar in the bridge position with distortion (but the APII hava a more clear sound when used without distortion).
The stats are also similar so... It dosnt matter if you use one or another?, or in other words ¿what is the crucial diference between the two? because no Pick up sound the same as other.

Also, could tell me what implies a high or low DC(corriente directa) resistance.

THANKS!

The sound files are misleading.

In real life, the ones that I have are very different. The '59 gets very snorty very early, is noticeably scooped and gets you more of a singing high-gain lead sound (although the bridge version less so that the neck). The APH is smooth and doesn't add much of it's own color and distortion.

The 59 has a noticeably higher resistance but that doesn't show when playing, probably due to the different magnet.

My take is to use the '59 for very clear, spikey cleans, for high-gain work and for feeding simpler rigs. The APH you use for smooth cleans, crunch and as a clear base to drive complicated rigs.

WTH means a RIG? or better, can someone tell me the spanish word for rig.

and some one out there would have experience of both pick ups, I need to find out, because here where I live I need to order the pick ups that I need, and I dont have money to order two pick ups for the bridge and another for the neck (JazzN)

Rig = effects, amp, cab.

The problem here is that there's too much taste and guitar involved.

You want to hear what a 59b really sounds like? It's based on the alnico 5 Gibson humbuckers from 1959 and the early 60's. Check out Clapton's tone with Cream when he's playing his SG.

The 59b is a fabulous pickup. One of my favorites.

well I already decide for a Jazzn/59b, but before we close this.

No one want to say something in favor of the Alnico II Pro? Some slash fan? no one?

I don't have the humbucker: I have the single coil versions of it. However, I love the sound of alnico ii magnets, so I would go with that, personally, just because.

However, I also love my Jazz neck a lot in my Schecter C-1 Classic....

What kind of guitar will these pickups be going into? What amp(s) do you use? What effect(s)?
