594SC with Vintage Blues Pickups? Seymour Duncan ‘59 model set.

I put '59's in a PRS SE Nick Catanese once... does that count? :D

They were nice. Bridge pickup is bright and spanky, I loved it. Neck pickup was a bit fat and scoopy for my liking, but it was still good.

i havent tried it, but the 59s are a great set of a5 paf type pups, so i imagine it would sound great if thats what youre going for. i had an old epiphone lp that sounded perfect with 59s. they are still in the guitar but it belongs to a friend these days

I like the '59 set. Adjusted properly, the neck is capable of flutey single note lines and can get an almost acoustic kind of scooped sound clean (poorly adjusted it can sound boomy). The bridge is very bright and rewards use of the tone control. To me they seem to work best with different tone control settings, so would be better in a guitar with separate tone knobs rather than one master.

the 594sc doesnt have lp type controls? might depend on the year, cause i know ive seen em with four knobs

I have the "Duncan Designed" 59 set in my Daisy Rock. Same basic shape as the 594, and they sound great. Sycamore body.
