Getting some mixed messages here. I sure don't want hollow mud though. The specs between the neck and bridge models seem not so different but I don't want to make a mistake either. Help me Mr. Bill!mg:

That said, I've always thought 8.2K (the DSesistance of a 59B) was a little to strong for a neck pickup, even in vintage pafs. So I actually prefer the underwound 59N or Seth Lover neck or Pearly Gates neck to the real 50's pafs I've owned when used as neck pickups. Lew

The 59B will be fine, not too woofy. If you have a hot bridge humbucker like you said, then it could be just fine. If you're asking because you have the 59B already, then yes, go ahead and use it. But if you're buying new, then the Jazzb, or the 59n, PGn, & Seth Lew mentioned would probably ALL be better choices, no matter how hot your bridge pickup is.
And "Splatbucker" is an awesome name BTW. Now I want to use it for my next P-90/humbucker build.
