You'd need 250K's for that. The PGN is wound to be bright, to offset the A2's dark tendencies, so putting in an A5 would give you a lot of treble.

I've used a Pearly Gates + with a 59N RP (reverse polarity) on my Fender Big Apple Strat and they work well together. I think it's due in large part to the switching options and reverse polarity of Neck PU

I have bridge & neck Pearly Gates in my Strat (The one on the left), and I find the the bridge pickup a tad too bright (Even though it still sounds really good) but I doubt it would sound the same in a LP.

I've got a 59' neck in an LP Standard that sounds and solo's great! And I'm also thinking about pulling the PAF Pro from the bridge and putting in a covered PG.
