It won't make a lick o' difference in the sound, but I think my Hamer Sunburst would look better with a zebra neck pickup than the double-black 59N that' in there now. A double-cream would look good, too, but that would be a miracle.
Anyway, if you have a cream 59N you want to trade, let me know. Mine is well-used but looks good on the surface.
The cons: the leads have been extended. It's a four-wire pickup, but only the hot and common/ground have been extended. It was at one time direct-mounted, so its screw holes were drilled out. I have remedied this by soldering in a pair of brass 4-40 hex nuts, and will included a matching pair of 4-40 stainless screws. They look good, but you can see the screw heads are larger than normal if you're closer than about 12 feet away.
The pros: It presently has a chrome cover on it, which I'll include if you want it. And here's the biggie: this pickup was previously owned by LUCID LUNATIC, so it's got all kinds of mojo (or something) all over it.
