I need a couple of 600k volume pots. I have a 1 meg and used a bunch of different resistors to find my tone I either want a 600, 550, 525 and or a true 500 or a little above. All my 500k pots are really 455 or 470 or 464 etc.I think the resistor mod is usefull but not as good as a pot with the value you want. I like the rio BBQ only if it can breath and the 470 I have is not quite enough and the 1 meg is too much. Any online stores or people sell these?

The problem is, all electronic parts are made in more-or-less "standard" values. Its why you couldn't get a .0234uf cap if you wanted. But - you can "build" one. I really don't think that 600k pots exist. I'll double-check my catalogs when I get to work. If its made, we'll have it.

Now, there is another type of "mod" you can do to the pot that I like better than the parallel mod, but it will prevent the volume from going to complete "zero". (Which doesn't bother me. I use the selector for "off".)

Just add a 100k resistor in series with a 500k pot. Add it between the ground lug and ground. Just a thought.

I'll get back to you on the 600k pots.
