Deep U, not 50's baseball bat, but nice and chunky...and it's already had a break that has been repaired immaculately. That (and the aftermarket tuner, bridge etc.) is why I managed to pick it up for the same price as a MIM Tele.

Yea, the '61 I mentioned also has a fairly generous neck.

That's a ridiculously good price! The trouble is, if I were to ask about it the family friend probably want something ridiculous for it like $3000AU because it's old and it's a Gibson *rolls eyes*. It's a nice guitar but it needs work and I wouldn't give more than $1k for it. The Juniors don't really have a collector status anyway unless they're in a colour other than red.
