'65 reverb unit - restoration

Fender 1965 Reverb unit. Need pics of guts and case to identify correct restoration parts. Where do I find original vintage or new vintage parts for this thing? It needs the reverb tank with corner retaining springs, control knobs, and the two RCA cables. I want to restore this as close to original as possible, but still want it in excellent functional condition.

You aren't going to find original or NOS parts very easily or for less than big $$$. I have a pretty clean '64 and the white knobs are available from Fender (they used them on a few recent amps) and the RCA cables can be made up using Lenzite (the 2 conductor wire you see on SD vintage style pu's and old Gibson stuuf), pretty easy to do. One cable is about a foot long, the other is about 8 inches. If you are a really dedicated parts fanatic, you can usually find Lenzite RCA cables in old tube radio/TV sets.

A tank is another story; you need a Hammond/Gibbs that works correctly in an upright position. A standard Fender combo amp tank won't work right. There are Accutronics out there, but they don't really cut it IMHO. The surf guys snag a lot of the old tanks when they come up for sale. The hanger springs aren't a big deal; most hardware stores carry an assortment of spring types that you can modify to work correctly. Check out the Surf Guitar 101 Forum and try a search there...they are stone crazy for the drip. Sorry---no camera handy, so I can't provide pixs, but let me know if you have any questions I might be able to answer...

What does it need???
It needs the reverb tank. I have found all other parts except I don't know which reverb tank to buy. I was thinking of buying from mojotone.com but don't know which one to get. This is a Fender stand-alone reverb unit model no. 6G15 from march 1965. If anyone can help me select the correct tank for this at an online location, please let me know. I will greatly appreciate it. I'm getting no response from Fender, yet!

The Fender RI (as well as the boutique guys) use a tank that is mounted in the same manner and the impedance is probably pretty close...call Mojo or AES and ask them if it isn't listed on their online catalog.

I second Hoffman Amps. Good company with outstanding service. I've never been disappointed in my dealings with them. Always very satisfied.
