6l6 tubes (Ruby 6l6gmstr), (Mesa 454 Svetlanas), (Mesa 430 Russian) ?

I have 3 quad sets of brand new 6l6 power tubes.
(Ruby 6l6gmstr), (Mesa 454 Svetlanas), (Mesa 430 Russian)

What are your favorites and why? I play a 2 channel 1999 dual rectifier
into a Mesa cab with 2 v30s on top and 2 g12k100 speakers on the bottom from a Marshall Mode 4 cab.
I like the Godsmack tone as well as Killswitch engage, Vai, Coal chamber, Lynch etc.
I like a vocal vibe from tubes and not too much high end noise. good clarity, depth and dynamics and resounding lows that sound clear and make your leggs rumble.

I will only be keeping 1 set of these and want to know what sets to sell or trade here on the Duncan site.
I am interested in a PATB1 Neck Pickup as well as a PATB1 bridge if anyone wants to do trades for the remaining 2 sets of tubes.

Out of those 3 6L6's I like the Svets the best... To me they have nice full... Great dynamics and imaging...

I'm currently using Svets in my Recto....I feel they sound better, and are a little more harmonically rich overall than the stock 430 Sovtecs.

I'm currently using Svets in my Recto....I feel they sound better, and are a little more harmonically rich overall than the stock 430 Sovtecs.

Do you find that the svetlanas dont have the low end or girth of the 430s? I find they do have a little brittleness to the svets?

try some sovtek 5881 midrange bias current (hardness of 5 or so) might like em.
oh, and i still havent been able to open up the cab. the house is a wreck.

I found they did everything the Sovtecs did, but generally better. I don't know how to explain it, but they just sound more musical to me.

When I switched to Svets I did have to change my EQ though...I rolled a little off the prescence and upped the bass a bit, but I had the same basic sound I did with the Sovtecs.

AHA. I didnt turn any knobs with the tube swaps and the bias was not set for any tubes other than the Rubys. I had a Voodoo mod and adjustable bias installed Has anyone tried the Cinese made Ruby 6l6gcmstr?
