^Yep, I remember that Loomis.
I'm most likely getting my 7 very soon hopefully, I'll post it up here and over there when it comes in.

First one is an Epiphone. The back of the neck and the body have been sanded down so the whole guitar is more resonant and the neck has a satin feel. The tuner for the 7th string was drilled a bit wider so I could fit an .080 gauge bass string in it (it's tuned to an A).
The Brazilian one is by a company called Giannini. Pao Ferro board and a few other weird woods went into it.

The ballance was terrible. I think if I had put a strap button where the 12 string met the body, on the back it would have been better, but I couldn't even get through a song... it was too freakin' heavy!

If that comment is anywhere near serious, there are 5-string baritone guitars out there.
I'm pretty sure there have been production models by companies like Schecter in the past, but here's one I found using google:
