$700.00 Gibson Les Paul CM . . . your opinion ?

Re: $700.00 Gibson Les Paul CM . . . your opinion ?

I got mine new for $400 & I actually play it all the time...

It’s wasn’t a bad guitar once I pulled the G-force off...

Sorry to necro bump but for everyone who said 700 was too much:

Plus they have a $20 off coupon when you sign up your email.

Wow, basically $400 new, shipped?

Now that's the proper price point for one of these, if you ask me! Even after $200 in fret/nut work and a pickup upgrade, you'll have a solid player for less than they started at and, of course, that NAME on the headstock!

409 plus like 30 tax, plus I got 6 months no interest, that’s less than 75 a month.

I got a drawer full of pickups to try, I figure either a gotoh 510 ub or a hip shot baby grand can be had for 65.

I put a P-Rails in mine with a mini toggle to switch it between a humbucker & a humbucker sized P-90. Afterwards I was very pleased with the results & have no plans on changing it anytime soon. Although I will say that the stock 61 Zebra wasn't bad in this particular guitar & could be quite versatile as long as I used my tone & volume knobs. I had a 61 Zebra set in a 2015 L.P. that I've since sold & I didn't like those nearly as much....

I just read the guitar weighs over 4 lbs. which is pretty light and not so hard on your back. I like the one pick up look...it's very straightforward.

Yeah it has a thinner Mahogany body with a fairly thick Maple cap & Maple neck. They are extremely light compared to a typical L.P., even one with the crazy weight relief, & it's a lot lighter than some of S.G.'s I've played! It's also balanced really well all things considered. I've never had any neck dive issues or anything like that so for what I spent I'm pretty pleased with it...

Speaking of one pick up guitars, here's a video explaining why one pup guitars sound so good.;)
