they are atleast alnico magnet pups. do you get the whole pickguard wired up with pots and switch for that price? if so thats not a bad deal. the pots are $5 each, the switch is $10, the pickguard is $25, so your investment in the pups isnt very much

yup i got the whole pickguard wired up.... the guy i got it from got the david Gilmour Pre-Wired Pickup Set

Now the question is...

now that i got it. im thinking about installing it tomorrow, i just tested the pickups with a multimeter and the bridge pickup has a DC resistance of 5.95k and the neck and middle pickups have a resistance of somewhere around 5.5k. Is this normal??
i think they are too low

what are your thoughts about it??

Perfectly normal...

The bridge is supposed to be a tad hotter than the rest.

Are these pickups from a 70's Fender USA Stratocaster? Some of those 70's pickups are among the weakest and worst sounding pickups Fender made. I'd put that set on Ebay. You'll get a small fortune for the set if they're orginal 70's Fender Strat pickups. Then get some Duncan Antiquitys...infinitely better sounding pickups. Also, if you are measuring the pickups while they wired to the pots you'll get a lower reading than if they measured out of the circuit. Lew

Remember that 70's stock pickups are what gave the Duncans and Dimarzios of the world a valid business plan. ;)
