I'm trying to replace the stock single coil bridge pickup in my reissue 72 custom telecaster with a Seymour Duncan hot rails humbucker.
The stock single coil pickup is wired as shown on the Fender wiring diagram (http://www.mrgearhead.com/faq/pdf/diagrams/72TELECSTM/SD0137500CPg2.pdf) using 2 wires, yellow and blue. I gather that I should solder the red and white wires on the new pickup together, but I am unsure of how to wire the black, green and shield wires. Any help would be very much appreciated
