my 79 les paul standard needs new frets.i live near tampa,any ideas of anyone to do it?I want stainless steel if possible.and does stainless change tone?

Not sure about where to take it for frets, I'm in NY. I'm sure someone in the Tampa area will chime in with a name. But why stainless?? To me they make the guitar sound too bright and the last thing you want from a Les Paul is for it to be bright. Yes you will get more life out of stainless but the brightness turns me off of stainless steel. I would go with a good quality nickle alloy. That's whats probably in your guitar now...
Really isn't any noticeable by the range of human hearing difference in stainless steel frets. Did not change the sound in my Les Paul in the slightest.
