Damn, those are hot. I like the Z best. The hardware looks like brushed aluminum rather than chrome, which is very slick in my book.

He got 24 and 15 were sold from the get-go. I think he has a handful left.

It is brushed aluminum hardware, and IIRC you can choose cream or black rings.

There are, they're just under a solid cover. Kinda like EMGs.

They're probably DiMarzios, or something similar either with those smaller allen poles or blade poles.

Those are just stock Dean MIK pickups with full covers. They do that on the "black gold" series imports as well.

FYI, the stock MIK pups from Dean aren't too bad either. Not as good as a regular USA DiMarzio or USA Duncan, but on the same level as a set of Duncan Designeds.

Seriously, I like the look of those. Looks like an ebony board too. Dean builds a great instrument, and if this is a limited run, I bet the quality is even better. Good deal definately.

I'm not a fan of the brushed nickel, but that wouldn't stop me from buying one...

The lack of inlays however, would. I'm getting to the point where I don't even like dots cos I prefer blocks/traps/rangs

Regardless, MIK Deans are extremely nice instruments for the $: 7 bills with a hardcase and shipping is a steal.

I also think its beyond cool that you can even GET something like this. That Dean offers all these different limited run imports through their dealers. Affordable "custom" instruments. Schecter doesnt. Epi doesnt. Ibby doesn't, etc etc. Not that I know of anyway. They are very responsive, and listen to their customer base.
