80s metal suggestion

Hi y'all,

I'm looking for a couple of single coils to compliment a SD-JB for a classic/80s metal tone. Right now, I have a Duckbucker lined up for the middle and a Lil '59 for the neck. This is for a Kramer Classic II. See attached. Any thoughts?

Thanks. The lefty Kramer Classic II is super rare. If I ever find an original lefty neck, I'll put it on. In the meantime, I'll settle for the Focus neck. The whole thing will need tweaking - for some dippy reason, the previous owner routed it for an Ibanez Original Edge trem. I'll get it back to OFR status and replace all the wiring. The body itself is superb

+1 To Hot Rails, incredible match for the JB, will be a super hot combo.

IMO I don't see any emergency to change pups, I would focus on putting strings :9:

My thought? Don't use the neck or middle pickups.

Or Hot rails neck, cool rails middle

You may want to try a Cool Rails in the middle and a Hot Rails in the neck......they play nice together and they also play nice with a JB bridge.

I love the slanted HB in the bridge......that's a cool axe......
