Can anyone name some guitars that meet the following criteria:
9.5 or 10” fingerboard radius
22 or 24 fret
HH or HSH
Sub-£1k
Not a Fender (I love Fenders and have several but want to expand my horizons brand-wise…)
Yes, I think PRS is probably the front runner at the moment. Never been a massive fan of their overall look, but there doesn't seem to be an awful lot out there that fits my brief.
I had a look on the Kiesel site and it looks like all their current 6 string models have 14" boards
Check out the satin S2 models. They're more utilitarian versions of the regular PRS line. I have an S2 Standard 22, stupid nice guitar for the money. It sounds, plays, and is built better than my real '62 Les Paul.
Aside from a few outliers, they're all 10". Definitely feel like their own thing, though. My Custom 24 has the wide/thin, and my Standard 22 has a Pattern Regular, which is much chunkier, doesn't feel as flat, but they're both 10".
If you want to "expand your horizons" why don't you want to expand your fretboard radius horizons as well? There are a LOT of great guitars that aren't 9.5 or 10" radius...
