A-8 Custom on a Hair metal SHREAD Clip

I did this today to a backing from another Forum. I used the Transparent Orange Swamp Ash 95 USA Washburn with the A8 Custom. I was playing it through my Fender Prosonic into a late 80's fender 2/12 cab and the only effect used was a George Dennis Wah. Yes the gain is all amp and it has MORE available if needed :rocket::firedevil:rocket:.

Your amp sounds great and that A8 mag sounds interesting. It almost sounds something like a ceramic magnet. Cool jam.

Thanks man. The A8 is cool as it has much of the tightness and quick response of a Ceramic but with much of the warmth and buttery top end of a A2. Sorta like the best of both worlds.

Yep these have SCORCHING gains, but they look like just another mild-mannered little Blackface Fender combo. These are the "Clark Kents" of the amp world and that's what killed um in the market.
The Fender guys hated um because they didn't sound like a typical Fender and the Marshall and Boogie guys never turned um on because of the looks. Fender blew it by not doing a big Boogie Killer marketing campaign on these amps. The mild mannered looks lack of marketing and high price tags ($1999 list for the 2/10 combo ) killed these in the marketplace.
The Prosonics have a BIG cult following with players in the know now and are bringing from $600 for a nice black 2/10 combo like mine to a couple of grand for one of the rarer early Custom shop colors. I actually bought this one from the Guitar Gallery over by you on Highway 31 a couple of years back for $600. It sat there for a month or so unnoticed before I snagged it.

PS on this clip I was just running the dual cascaiding gains at 4 on gain 1 and 6 on gain 2. The amp was in the 30 watt Class A tube rec mode and the master was at 2.5. Ya ought to hear it CRANKED in the SS rec mode and running the full 60 watts!!
Here she is on my late 80's Fender 2/12 cab from a trip to Panama City Florida and playing an outdoor show at last years Thunder Beach biker event. Volume at 3.5 or so was all we could stand!!
