Hey, I wanna get in on this clip posting bizzness too! But until I come up with something recent that I"m not totally embarrassed of, you all can listen to these little tunes I dug up from the depths of my little abandoned musical project bin.

Keep in mind that these are pretty old and were done before I knew much of anything about recording. Sound quality won't be totally spectacular.
Here's some background:
The first one is a punk-ish sounding tune that I wanted to put on CD real quick for vocal practice in the car
The drums were played by my little sister and were recorded with a single SM57 placed kinda above the snare, but trying to catch the entire kit (haaaa!). The nasty, fuzzy, horrible guitar tone is a result of recording it from the direct out of a Digitech RP3 multieffects. Yuck! Anyway, it's much better live.
The second one is some chord progression I stumbled across one day. It's got words, I'm just not singing them. Ever. Ok, well, maybe one day when I write the rest of it. Guitar is an ovation 12-string standard baladeer, and drums are samples that I sequenced in Acid.
The third one was supposed to be featured in a video game. A friend of mine had this huge idea to make a role playing adventure game, and got quite a way through the basic mechanics of writing the engine and getting things to work on screen, and even wrote some of the story. I was to come up with music for the game. I got about as far as the "space station level" before the project was abandoned :-( It's embarrassing how much I rip off aphex twin here.
The last one is the corniest ballad ever written. The electric guitar at the end pushes it over the top for maximum cheez-tastic-ness. Oh, man, to be a dumb high school kid again!
