A boost pedal for people with more money than sense

I would not take this for free, let alone $250. I am guessing they created this pedal to get people talking about their company so their marketing worked.

WHAC-A has nine footswitches, each with their own indicator led, arranged in a grid on the face of the pedal. Each footswitch engages a boost circuit, which is the same circuit for each switch. The boost level cannot be changed without engaging additional boosts and there are no other knobs or switches on the pedal. You can use anywhere from one to nine boosts simultaneously, but the idea is to just stomp on the pedal and engage a random number of boosts each time...You never know what you’re gonna get...That’s what my mama always said! Jordan Clayton from Pine Box Customs is to thank for the circuit design and pcb layout!

WHAC-A comes in a Gold-Sparkle enclosure with “WHAC-A” printed largely on the face of the pedal in typical BIG EAR-fashion. The front also features printed text along with 60 Cycle Hum’s logo.

I mentioned this pedal in another thread a while.
I wonder how it would sound after a Metalzone?
That could get you into One Punch Man levels of gain.

Well, I don't mind a few 'just because they can' pedals. I actually think we need more of them. Like, lets have a pedal that just produces a loud ground hum, or squealing feedback when used.

Ryan from 60 cycle hum cane up with the idea for this pedal on one of the shows and when they first came out with this pedal it was marketed as "from the crazy mind of Ryan at 60 cycle hum" I guess to gain sales traction.

I can make one!

The Metasonic all valve ringmod lets you generate all kinds of crazy sounds just from messing with the stability of the tube. It’s been indispensable for making layers of scary, industrial racket. It’s a good thing it’s loaned to me because MS costs a fortune.

The biggest problem I have with this pedal is...you mash the buttons and turn on an unknown number of random boosts. You mash it again and turn some off and others on. Every time you step on the pedal it is akin to rolling dice with your gain.

From the promo blurb, that's not a bug, it's a feature. It's like the pedal version of Douglas Adams' 'improbability drive'...
