I just swapped out some extremely hot humbuckers 14k, to Duncan 59's. I've not had a chance really put the 59's to the test just yet. But my initial implression is much more clarity and great crunch. I'm going through a stock Fender Blues Jr. (not a high gain amp) and love the sound of the 59's compared to the super hot cheapo's.
I'll have to say - I was pleasantly surprised at the big difference. I expected the change to be more subtle.
