I have one on my Ibanez AS83 (which is kinda heavy). The leather is smooth and soft... both on the tan front and the black back. It's also thick enough that it has nice, comfortable padded feel. Not terribly expensive either.

Shutup, Dork, I dig where he's coming from. I've tried out some guitar straps in music stores that were so short that they made me look like I should be playing a Ukelele on the Grand Ole Opry.

I get my straps from Home Depot. About $1 per foot.

Are you talking about each individual chain as your ring? Or the link of chains? Slight difference hahaha.
