Aaaanyways a few things about this track:

It's all just stock GarageBand Loops with some EQ and effects on them... save for the guitars. I just made this in the process of teaching myself how to use the program.

There's a few timing mistakes on the 1st guitar solo but the overall vibe was cool so I kept it. MY POD XT provided all the guitar tones, and GB added the chorus to the clean part. It thinned out the sound a tad, but oh well. The main amp model was the blackface deluxe model with tubescreamer sim on the 1st solo and stereo delay on both of them.

The only guitar I used was my '95 MIM strat with the neck pickup, a Blue Lace Sensor.

Oh yeah... I have an extra book on GB that I bought at Borders that explores GB inside and out, and it turns out Mac's engineers actually reverse-engineered a lot of the program from Logic!

But seriously it's SO easy to use. The whole thing took me about an hour to do and about 40 min of that was just eqing, mixing, and playing with different loops and beats. I can't wait until I start making REAL music with it. :laugh2:

Yeah I agree the clean part is a bit too low in the mix. I'd gotten it up to proper levels on the initial recording and then I added the chorus on it in post and the chorus in GB's effects section tends to scoop the mids a little bit... I'll play with the EQ tonight and see if I can't get it to sound better.

You could say that. Joe Satch is my all-time favorite guitarist. But i wasn't really thinking "ok Satch mode here" I was just screwing around with tones I liked. But hey if it reminded you of Satch thats a goooood sign haha.
