I took a couple of pics this morning. I've been thinking about taking guitars over to this sign for a while...

Re: A Couple of Morning Pics...

coo.
I assume that beauty is your guitar?
(Or did someone just leave their LP to display next to the sign?)

Re: A Couple of Morning Pics...

Dude.. that's possibly the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen in my life..

*turns back time.. steals it while you have it hung on the sign*

Er.. what is it, exactly? Deluxe? Some crazy custom shop? Not a gibson at all? (I cant read the logo)

Yes, tell us all!
LEs Paul Deluxe's came stock with Mini-humbuckers so it's not that.

Re: A Couple of Morning Pics...

Thanks guys!

I'm in the process of completing the sale of this guitar. (this isn't spam, the sale is completed after I ship the guitar off Monday) This is it's last weekend with me after 12 years. :crying:

It's a 1971 Les Paul Deluxe. Somewhere prior to 16 years ago the neck had been completely destroyed- I had it re-necked with a baseball bat sized Gibson neck. The top had been sanded down from it's original goldtop and I had the deep cherry sunburst put on it. When I first saw it, it was being parted out- so 2 owners before me sold all the original hardware, pickups and electronics. Right now it sports SD Custom P-90s and it's a rock and roll guitar. By nature of it being a 71 Deluxe, it's cool- being that it's been through the mill, it's a player. I've never been afraid to play this guitar, it'll take all you can give it and still ask for more. It's sentimental to me, I brought it back from the dead, I've had it forever...

Here are the pics I had in the ad- ask some questions- this guitar has a lot of stories to tell!!!

Just how big is that neck? From L to R 1959 LP Special, 1971 LP Deluxe, 2001 R8.

Hat trick on BC references LOL

Re: A Couple of Morning Pics...

DAMN! Golden Boy, that thing looks to be my dream les-paul. Dont sell it if you can pull it off, I think you might regret it.

EDIT: The neck on that looks to be very close to the one on my Godin, and ohh man that burst is nice. I am drooling over that thing.
