my teles stay looking pretty vintage. this one will get the compensated saddles for perfect intonation and if i don't like that, cause none of my others have the compensated saddles, i will switch them out for the old style. I don't really like the feel of the new american standard bridges., maybe thats cause i only had one and didn't like the way it sounded. It wasn't twangy enough for me. I don't really know why i didn't like it other than it just didn't feel right or sound right to me.
I do want a pretty hard driving pickup like an overwound broadcaster, the fralin steel pole 43, and the qp did come to mind too but i haven't played enough with any of those pickups. I think i will just have to bite it and buy on to try and if i don't like it then go with one of the others.
