Really really nice. It's so amazing what can be done with $100 worth of software and the internet.

Nice job....I love stuff like this.

I liked that version. Very easy to listen to.

No 'cringe' moments either.

Very nice work :) .

Re: a cover song recorded by me and three friends online.

sounds great, vocals bass and guitar working together in perfect unison, a beautiful thing people.

Great Job Bro!!! I know what you mean about doing music with people you haven't met in person. I just finished up a 2nd cd with a guy I have never met.

heres a new remix version i did myself:

With or Without You_Edge Remix.mp3

more similar to the orignal.... redid one of the guitar parts using multi-tap delay similar to edge, using delay and distortion.
the other version is better though.:\

Great. Wich delay settings do you use?

Re: a cover song recorded by me and three friends online.

Hmm...everything sounds good! But one bit of constructive criticism

The guy obviously isn't a horrible singer, and he sounds great towards the middle at the "Woah-Woah-Woah" part and right at the end where he does that slightly longer "woah-oh-woah-oooohh" bit but during the verse he's way too dramatic.
Bono is a little overly dramatic in the original, but his voice also has that ethereal quality to it. I'm not saying the vocals need to be spot on...not at all...or anything needs to be spot on...but this is a pretty faithful cover as a far as I'm concerned. To make it a tad more faithful Mr. Moser may want to sing a little softer and a little quieter...less gravel in his voice too. Good range, he can hold a note, and it sounds like he can "woah-oh-woah-oooohhh" 'till the cows come home...so it shouldn't be a problem.

Great job guys! The Remix is a great mix, by the way, a little more balanced than the original.

well i have no idea what edge uses.:o i even tried to research it a little.
no one really knows how he does it.he wont reveal to anyone what EXACTLY he uses to get his sound. he says if he did then there would be a bunch of poseers trying to imitate his work. smart thinking thought.
i did know he uses a multi-tap delay. my processor has a type of tapping delay in it. so i used that with distortion. then with cool edit pro added more multi-tap delay. it is a similar effect, but edge obviously uses something entirely different.

thanks. i mixed the remix version. im still learning about that though. jamison mixed the original by himself. i honestly thought it could have been a tad better,...like a little heavier bass, and some more treble in the guitars. musta had something to do with that acid pro he uses... but he did a good job on it.

yeah jamison is definitely no Bono.:D :smack:but he can sing. he really belongs in an alternative rock atmosphere....i let one of my friends listen to the song and he said man this is the best U2 cover i ve ever heard.....but that dude is butchering Bono's voice. :laugh2:
