A DIY question: attaching stompboxes to pedalboard?

Hi,

This is a question for those who made their own pedalboards. How did you attach the pedals to the pedalboard? I know it's done with velcro, but don't know how exactly. Can you give me suggestions?

My pedalboard is pretty small so there's not much room between the pedals. If you go the velcro route, what exactly do you do?

Attach velcro to the board. I did this by purchasing adhesive vecro and putting the "fuzzy" (loop?) side on the board. I used a staple gun to ensure that it wasn't going anyplace.

Use the "rough" (hook?) side on the pedal. Remove any feet that keep the bottom plate of the pedal off the ground. Apply the velcro to the bottom of the stompbox. Give the adhesive a little time to cure and you should be able to stick it on the pedalboard. Done right with the right materials, you should be able to flip your pedalboard upside down without the pedals going anyplace.

All right. I found a self-adhesive velcro distributor here in the Czech Rep. Now I'll have to find some retail store that carries it.

Make sure to buy the "industrial strength", works like a charm for me

In the past I've used adhesive velcro and it didn't seem to stick to some pedals that well.

So in those instances, I used super glue to stick the velcro to the pedal. It works great and the pedals don't move unless I want them to
