Well taking pictures could damage the guitar in such a way that it would take away all the mojo. Playing it doesn't do that.
I refer back to my previous question: the guitar is in such good condition that he'd rather let you play it than take a picture?

No it doesn't. Anyone can take a Strat style guitar, slap on gobs of distortion and throw in a wah for good measure and then plug it into a PC sound card and say that it's a 69 Strat. The burden of proof is on the prosecution making the claim.

There's also the claim he measured the resistance. He could do that but not take a photo. That doesn't add up. If you remember this 'friend's' request was that it not be documented in anyway. Claiming you used it counts as documenting so it's too late. Cat's out of the bag. Pics or it didn't happen.

The recording says enough? I have no idea who was on the recording or what equipment was used. All the recording says is that someone in the world did a cover of Voodoo Chile.

Thing is, I actually have a '66 Strat, left-hand strung right, which I can get Hendrix tone out of no problem. But I can get a sound like that Soundcloud recording out of my 2007 MIM Strat with Duncan Antiquities in it.

You have given us no evidence and no real reason or proof to believe you when you state that you used a vintage 1969 Fender Stratocaster on this recording.
You have repeatedly refused to post pictures, when requested to do so. You are no stranger to posting pictures, video, and audio clips of your other efforts. You have held out on this one for reasons which do not make sense to us and do not add up given your behavior.
This is a community of guitarists, for whom a 1969 Stratocaster is a somewhat unique commodity. We are going to be interested in the specifics off the instrument in question, yet you have not provided solid proof that this is what you've used.
We as a forum do not believe that you are representing the truth.
If there was no 1969 Strat, I personally will give you a pass on this one. You need to learn a lesson about credibility. This forum operates on credibility as a major factor among it's members, especially when it comes to trades and in-person meetings. If you admit it now, all will be forgiven and we can move on.
If you continue to maintain that you used a real 1969 Strat, and you do not offer solid, tangible proof in the form of a clear, focused photo of this guitar in your workspace, I (and most likely several others) will assume that you are not being truthful.
