A Hundred Bone Mint 5150 Cabinet-

I just happened to see this on clearance when I was in the town of the 5 time world Champion Spurs yesterday. Its the same cabinet that was pawned with my Mint 6505 Peavey Head I got for $ 269.00 , what, 6 months ago or something?, and they had been wanting $399.00+ Tax for it.

It was on clearance/blowout, and I got it for One Hundred US dollars cash.

Thats good I got it, cause now I am offering the head and cab for sale for one grand/trade.
(I just like the '6505 +' a lot lot more from the clips I've heard- a way more delicious and thick Low Mid).

I wonder if you guys would fork over a hundred bucks of your hard earned cash for this ;?

PS- I don't see the big deal on these 5150 cabs. They are obviously MDF- they weigh a freaking ton, and I threw out my back getting it into my truck.
I feel a lot better today, but my back still hurts.

5150 cabs were made out of voidless Baltic Birch plywood. When Eddie dropped the endorsement deal and the 5150 became the 6505, they may have changed it, but if it's a 5150, it's birch.

And your OP is kinda hard to follow...........

(Somethings the matter with this- it weighs, like, a hundred pounds more than my Marshall cabs, or it seems like it!)

BTW- relax, I'm not coming back F/T..I posted this cause I havent gotten any new gear in a long long time.

If you can more than double your money on a 269 dollar head and 100 dollar cab, do it. It's a good amp rig, but I'd buy something better with the $900 you can probably get for it. List it, play it, and don't budge on the price. Eventually someone will pony up the dough for it, and you can go shopping again.

Aw hell, the 5150 amps are great amps in their own right. You'd be hard pressed to find a better hard rock oriented amp. At that price for the cabinet you really couldn't lose. As a set if you can get a grand, God bless you. However, most people are scaling down and don't need that much. Not bad to try, though!
