A little help with wiring...

I just picked up a SH-4 JB to replace my stock Duncan Designed pickup in the bridge position of my Jackson DK10X Dinky. I plan on installing the thing myself, as I have a fair amount of knowledge of electrical circuitry and soldering. I'm taking a look at the way my pickups are wired, and they're a lot different than the diagram provided on this site. I have 2 humbuckers, a volume, a tone, and a three way switch.

Apparently, it's supposed to be wired like this...

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2h_1v_1t_3w

But, it isn't. Both stock pickups are missing the "bare" wire (as far as I can tell), and the green wires are going to the switch, and not the ground on the volume pot. I would really like to install the thing myself, seeing as I don't want to pay someone any money to do it for me... >_>

Should I...

A. Try to rewire the whole durn thing to the way it shows on Sir Duncan's diagram? I don't know how that will work, considering that the bare wire will still be missing on the DD neck pickup.

B. Buy a (SH-2n) neck pickup, so I can be sure that the thing has all necessary wires, and rewire the whole thing according to the diagram, or

C. Pay a professional to do it, the undesirable option? >_>

Halp.

ok the bare adn the green are both grounds, are you sure that the green wires you see going to the switch are coming directly form the pick ups? usually the pick ups go directly to the pots first, then there are wires that link the switch to the pot. if this is the case then it could be any color at all and it would not matter because it is not a lead form the pick up itself.

if i were you i would it according to the sd schematic:)

I don't know how much this will help, but here's a couple pics of what's going on back there.

The red and white wires leading from both pickups are taped off and put to the side like they should be, and the green wires are going to the two throw poles of the switch. There's another black wire coming from the pickup, which I'm assuming could be the "bare" wire, but it's grounded to the body of the guitar, as seen on the right of the first picture.

It's all sorts of jacked up. I'll probably write down the way it's configured right now tomorrow, then attempt to rewire the whole deal according to the diagram. If it doesn't work for some dumb reason, at least i have the way it was. >_>

Re: A little help with wiring...

Oh yeah, there's also that little white wire that's connecting both sides of the switch, and that's not shown in the diagram either. Oh my.

Re: A little help with wiring...

Ugh... sorry if this is confusing at all, but it's better than the picture.

Basically, the old pickups have a large braided wire (black), and a red, white, and green wire. The new pickup has 5 wires, black, white, green, red, and bare.

In the crappy paint diagram that i drew, the blob of solder isn't really that big, i just extended it to show the one tab of the volume pot to be bent back and soldered into it. Two of the wires in the diagram are large and black, but have another white wire inside of them, which continues on to be soldered somewhere else. This is overly ridiculous and confusing, and there are more wires in this **** guitar than there are on the SD schematic. I would have no problem removing all the wires and rerouting them, I just need to know how to wire in the old bridge pickup, because it is not being replaced at the moment, and is slightly different. Any help would be awesome.
