Here are a few from what's left of my small "collection":

Not shown: Fender Meteora, Ibanez Maxxas, Jackson Rhoads, and an Ibanez Xiphos!

It seems I have a strong affection for bright colors and odd shapes when it comes to guitars!

I'm still in the process of downsizing, so some of these are headed to the chopping block shortly (i.e. the green GT V8, the purple Snakebyte Baritone, and the orange Fernandes Raven in the pic above), but I thought I'd snap a photo and show them off before I break up the team.

i like the orange too. id rock that thing if it had a tone control

Yeah, it's kind of funny that they held back on a tone knob when it already had all the other switches, ha ha!

It's a cool guitar with a really high quality build. Has a Sustainer in the neck position and a Gotoh Wilkinson trem.

I'm all about that Iceman. Whew, very sexy. If tonight wasn't the NFL season opener I'd be busting out a whole lot of...images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRge_zKPln0TDez0vV1URW8KDVvM38HligK6A&s.png

Well hell NFL Network fooled me. I saw the 8PM Thursday Night game and thought is was the season opener. Hmmm, it seems I might have some time on my hands after all. :naughty:

That's actually my latest purchase!

It's just a "low end" Ibanez PS-60, but I honestly can't think of a cooler guitar you can get for $300 new!

Very lightweight, slim neck (almost identical to my favorite Jackson Rhoads in feel), the same Gibraltar Pro bridge setup that's found on Paul Gilbert's $1200 "Fireman" models, pearloid block inlays, and a really cool roasted Purpleheart fretboard that looks just like ebony! My only complaint is that the binding has some discoloration, but that's a known issue on these and will even out over time as the binding ages a bit on its own.

I actually just swapped out the silver mirror truss rod cover, pickguard, and bridge ornament for custom black versions this evening from Reproguitarparts.com. I'll have to post a pic...it's awesome, edgy but understated!

I also have a set of chrome "radiator" style covers coming to toss on the stock "Infinity R" pickups as an homage to the O.G. Iceman pickups as seen here:

Nice. A couple years ago my son was diagnosed with cancer, and going through some depression. I had bought him an Epiphone G400 years before, then gifted him my '87 American Standard Strat a couple years after that. After his diagnosis he was not going out and just sitting around the house and sleeping a lot, understandably. I wanted to get him something to motivate him some to play more and invest his time and emotional turmoil into creativity so I got him two guitars. A Gibson Custom Shop Advanced Jumbo Deluxe Maple which I purchased at the same time I bought my J45 Rosewood Custom, and a Silvertone Custom Shop Prototype Paul Stanley Signature Iceman since he is a big KISS fan.

Mine looks like this:

I used to own about 6 of them in blue and red :)

Awesome, fountain blue! I saw a black hole green MX3 for sale on Reverb recently for 2k! Had a repaired neck but otherwise ok. Did a double take since people these days ask for bonkers money.

Wish Ibanez would do a reissue as part of the Genesis line.

I'm surprised to see so much love for the Maxxas!

Honestly, I don't think $2K is too much for one these days considering how rare and unique they are. Plus, they're nearing 40 years old!

The non-Floyd versions have uniquely chambered bodies and are exceptionally lightweight.

Ibanez gave Steve Vai a Maxxas prototype as a gift in order to help convince him to become an Ibanez Artist and design the Jem/RG.

And they were clearly the inspiration for a lot of other guitars, including John Petrucci's "Majesty"!

I would consider letting mine go as part of my downsizing, but my wife has claimed it as "hers" so I no longer have a say, ha ha!
