#2 I spent 3 years of daily R&D and a ton of cash wasted and then lost 2 - 3 boutique winder friendships over it...--
#3 If I cast my pearls before swine -- what have I got left?
whats so special is that Roy Buchanans Nancys was a factory Fluke -- It created a unique early breakup all its own it also did'nt punch your ears out like a normal tele doees when i use them to play Roys music.
For 3 years everyone in this bussiness guessed their best and sent renditions of Roys Nancy to me-- THEY ALL FAILED onstage -- untill 4 days ago when I discovered the "Fluke" and wound one up and BAM there it is 100% what was once thought imposable became a reality--
It will be a very cold day in a very hot place when I give out the spec's.. LOL!
sorry Walters, Bro--
But I will never give out my Nancys specs..
I am even gluing the coils and rope on them to prevent reverse engineering. If they try to open them up they will simply shread to bits.
But yer Right My Nancy pickup is the only one my mom likes -- it does not force your ear mussles to move as much i guess???---- its simply more soothing -- not punchy-- like a hammer hitting steel would be.== this is more like butter hitting the floor!
this is all Nancys tone you will hear -- listen close there has never been anything like it.
I can't sell anything here,
and FWIW I have no parts to make them here -- as is we have been cutting coils from expensive botique Fred Stuarts and Hamels to make these --
Rev i don't get it Roy story was that he didn't put a special nancy pickup in his guitar did this Nancy pickup come from the factory and he ended up with this guitar ? how lucky can this guy be to have the nancy pickup already in his guitar without even knowing it thats odd. Do u think Roy modified the pickup to be a nancy pickup or it came out of the factory whats the story Rev thanks buddy
yea luck -- or -- just a country boy who did'nt know better and just used it as it was -- it was 1970 when Roy Buchanan bought the 1953 Tele and then Roy nicknamed the whole guitar "Nancy"--
the guitar was alreay 17 years old when Roy got it -- it may have had the pup swapped or rewound before he got it or Fender really messed up?
