A pickup that compares to Duncan's Hot P90

I'm thinking about swapping out the P90 in my LP Jr, and i want something thats hotter. I love that p90 tone but, just a tiny bit more hum bucker-like would be awesome.

Anyways i was recommended the S+D SP90-3

Can anyone compare this pickup to something else, or at least give a good description of the sound. I find the clips from the S+D website to be rather limited, and hard to judge with.

Is it at all like the Billie Joe H90 from his signature line of gibson guitars?

I would say that's probably hot enough, i'm not looking for metal. Punky tones at the most.

Kind Regards

I may have the solution for you. I have an unwanted Seymour Duncan SATKP1b stacked coil P90 replacement pickup. How it sounds depends upon how you combine the coils.

Parallel wiring is the noise-cancelling P90 sound.
Series wiring is supposed to have more of a humbucker tone.

I am in the UK. How does £50 including shipping sound to you?

Alternatively, if you want "more" P90, get the SD Antiquity.
