A preview of my next build (metal content)

Re: A preview of my next build (metal content)

String through is to close to the bridge and the strings will be bent across the back of the bridge, pet peeve of mine sorry for pointing it out.

Re: A preview of my next build (metal content)

well to be fair, i cobbled together that mockup from pictures and fancy photoshopping. It's certainly not to scale, even though it looks like it may well be.

But I'll find out if I'm gonna have stringing problems in a few days when the body arrives.

buuuut i don't wanna!!

all i want is full strength humbucker in the bridge, and parallel hot rails in the neck. I don't use anything else for teh metulz.

Re: A preview of my next build (metal content)

Thanks though Joe. I just prefer cavemen-esque simplicity in most of my guitars.

Re: A preview of my next build (metal content)

. . . so unfortunately, Artie, your diagram is totally not suited to this guitar haha. But I am really appreciative of the time and thought you put into this :) I'm sure someone else will find it tremendously useful!

No prob man. And it was no trouble at all. It's a diagram I made for one of my own projects that I've never gotten around to yet. I thought it would be ideal for something like a Squire 51 or an HS Cyclone.

Nice one. Lots of Wayne Charvel vibe going on. I'd suggest quitting the string through and going wraparound, lose the toggles and tone pots, use a single push pull for volume and switching, the Lynch way. Good luck.

So, just change everything but the wood and finish?

I facepalm'd when I read your comment.

hmmm....lemme think about that

NO!

I don't care what lynch plays, I'm making this for me, so it's designed for exactly what I want, not anyone else :p
