Re: A refret on a MIM Rosewood strat, + added 22nd fret? For the techs.
Refret charges:
250€ basic incl. setup, new nut (if necessary) and full clean+polish
50€ upcharge for lacquered board or binding w/o nibs,
100€ for both
250€ upcharge for keeping nibs for those that just have to keep them (makes sense for ex. on collectable instruments)
22 fret on a 21 fretter:
is possible (to an extent) , but impractical for a few reasons.
1. The fret won´t span the entire width unless the board is replaced or "extended"
2. It´s not always easy to match the exact scale used by the manufacturer (most vary within a few tenths of a mm compared to each other), meaning it may not intonate 100% correctly if your tech isn´t an ace.
3. the end isn´t really "meaty" enough to accomodate a fret, meaning there may be stability issues and the resulting related problems.
Quality aftermarket necks to fit a strat, manufactured and distributed in Europe:

IIRC a finished 22 fret maple/RW neck costs 182€+ shipping
