a slight moding adventure

been MIA a bit here lately.. had to move this last month, had to quite my job because of medical, phone got cut off, etc.

Thought id drop by and do a bit of catching up and post this..

this was a rewiring/shielding job I did on my #1 two weeks ago.. overall i am pleased with how it turned out..
The wiring is functionally similar to the last wiring but is much improved with no trade offs.. Andy Timmons wiring scheme(master volume,N+M volume, master tone) w/ a volume bypass on the master volume, neck always-on , kill switch and a DMT tone.. shielding was also added throughout. I also added 2 SC black covers which i really dig the look of.. was going to paint them gold but that might be too much gold IMO.. the black covers look elegant IMO

HOPEFULLY this is the last time.. LOL so much better looking and sounding that the stock 2001 dk-2. If i was to add just one more thing, it would be a tremel-no

mmmm jackson
one of 2 jacksons i own...this is my go-to guitar and sounds and plays like no other guitar in my small collection....i probably play this one 85% of the time. I have Finally think I have gotten to a point that im done modding it..the vision is complete

this guitar is great for playing the most mellow blues on or the face meltin metal.. maby not the stuff they call metal now adays but does 70's,80's and 90's metal really well. The rear humbucker is like 21 years older than the guitar but sounds really nice and has excellent harmonic texture to it.. so much better than the SD designed 102 which had no life nor soul..
