A strange attraction!

Strats are my fav guitars. Recentely i`ve been noticing that i`ve been attracted to weird/unconventional color combos of bodies and pickguards. For example Wood/Brown body with a Red Pearloid Pickguard, or Black body with Green pickguard, things like that. My wife thinks i`m crazy and those color combos are horrific and i agree but there something about those mis matched combos that i dig. I have a Tangerine Metallic Strat with a White PG and i`m thinking about changing it to a Red Pearloid or something hideos like that! lol I guess what i`m trying to say is anyone else in here like odd color combos on Strats or any guitar for that matter?

hehe. Don't worry, i've always been an adherent to the old 'if they give you lined paper, write the other way' theory myself.

Celebrate the difference, as they say.

More power to you! I think Im one of the only people in the world that doesnt care for bursts or wood colored guitars.. a few years ago, I started liking stain on quilt or flame tops, but before that, I was a solid color guy..
I still like 80s colored guitars. and love my white charvel with a purple guard..

I love the old Desert Yellow JEMs. All of those neon greens and yellows and reds and oranges kinda blow your mind when they are put together.

hey man, i like weird-ish colour combos too, it's no big deal, its your guitar.

I'm with you Astrozombie. If someone gave me a guitar, any colour, I would be very grateful. Unless it was Antiqua. It's the only finish I would return to the store. There's no way I could look at it without wanting to set it on fire!
