They picked the right pickups. With that wiring, that's the perfect guitar for a set of P-Rails.

That's how I always do it. It makes a greater separation in the different tones available from the P-Rails. IMO the difference between the rail and the P-90 at the bridge is very small when mounted with the P-90 toward the bridge. Putting the rail toward the bridge gives you more tonal variety.

Yes. Fret markers are on the corner/edge of the fretboard. So they are on the face of the board (front?) and the side at the same time.

I do now. I was confused because you said combo faced AND side dots.

I have to say that this guitar is hecka rad. Normally I'm not much into weird guitars, but I like this. Maybe the stark red on black helps.
