Are the control covers actual circuit boards or just printed/painted graphics?

From the close-up pictures, it looks like real boards. Having a set of MJ custom-wound pickups makes this guitar even more attractive.

18.5k neck, 12.9k bridge? Did I read that correctly?

That is what I am seeing. The pickups are pretty hot. However, with the splitting (P90, Rail), I am sure the player can bring down the heat a bit if needed. I am curious as to what the P90 would read on its own.
 
I like the look a lot. I might choose different pickups, but any other pickup choice is bound to be expensive. I think I'd like black humbuckers with red rails.
