great tune ! ... crowd always dug when we played that as part of a 'budokan' medley along with surrender and aint that a shame ... your guitar parts are spot on and the tone sounds dialed right in !! ... the singer seemed to have a touch of range stretch goin' on ... maybe a half step down would suit him more comfortably ... but the band is tight too with just enough looseness to make it rollickin good time rock n roll
Nice job on the guitar!
cool. who screamed "whoo!" about 30 seconds in?
Very nice! Sounded like a lot of fun...
Heard it a few times...reminded of something very rootsy and New Orleanish
Totally dig it, sounds like good times!
Heyyyyy I am not that old ;-)
I am also a huge CT fan
Now, Bill, you know I love you bro...
But speaking as Robin Zander's neighbor (one community and two blocks removed): It's hit & miss, mostly miss:
Hit - I dig the funky ragtime/country rock feel
Hit - Nice guitar tone (awesome double-stop bend right out of the gate!)
Miss - Intro drums; Sweet called to say they want intro from Ball Room Blitz returned
Miss - No bass, Can't over emphasise the importance of a monster bass moving this tune.
Miss - just not tight - not that Cheap Trick isn't loose, but in a good way.
Miss - Not digging the vocals
Check out Dwight Yoakam's do-over for a little inspiration. I think you'll dig it.
Someone on the dancefloor....could have been the chick who kept taking her top off.![]()
