I have a Zhangbucker Brownbucker. The A2 it came with smoked when overdriven but, in that guitar, was too much in the mids. A3 was perfect. The added clarity in the upper mids/highs did the trick. All the A2 creaminess and feel remained.
Also put an A3 in an SD '59 Neck. Best neck I've heard so far. Next was a Custom. After about 3 weeks, it is by far the best Custom I've tried.
The A3 is a super winner. The highs are great and have a vintage attack. They also retain much of the bass, though it is different. Has anyone else had this experience?
