A3 Magnet For The Bridge, Too

I have a Zhangbucker Brownbucker. The A2 it came with smoked when overdriven but, in that guitar, was too much in the mids. A3 was perfect. The added clarity in the upper mids/highs did the trick. All the A2 creaminess and feel remained.
Also put an A3 in an SD '59 Neck. Best neck I've heard so far. Next was a Custom. After about 3 weeks, it is by far the best Custom I've tried.

The A3 is a super winner. The highs are great and have a vintage attack. They also retain much of the bass, though it is different. Has anyone else had this experience?

Yeah a3 is awesome for vintage sounding stuff. It's my favorite magnet for single coils and for humbuckers it's a toss up between a3 and a4. A3 is better in the bridge for sure but a4 smooooooth and it's a beautiful thing in an unpotted PAF

A3's work really well with Zhang's pickups. I have a widebucker and a Pagey neck, both originally A2. They both now have A3 and do really well.

RCA3 in my Custom.
I love it.

Bonamassa apparently also loves an A3 in the bridge position.

me too. my Ibby Musician came with old 'Super 58' with A3s in them. very vintage sounding with clarity, but has enough girth for all the gain stuff too. i was quiet reluctant to keep the bridge pickup but have grown like them the way they are. It has some twanginess but very soulful tone when i m playing clean. with gain i ve even played metal with it, not the ideal output throb, but for 7.5k pickup which is upclose to strings, I get pretty versatile tones out of it.
