A TB will be more articulate than an SH with a Floyd. Not exactly 80s tone, IMO.

Well...that's a possibility. I just wanted a standard slug/screw reverse-zebra TB-spaced model. I just want a little less output but still nice mids and articulation. I'm sure the MJ mojo won't hurt either.

Seriousy, he'd have used one, in 1978. The slant thing may have been a minor tone discovery, but was just to compensate.

I don't care about "sounding like a certain guy Seymour wound a pickup for", but all the demos I've heard friggen slay and I'd like to get that punch and complexity in a pickup. The CC was "almost there" was was too mushy, but the '78 seems to have more clarity and better clean tones.
