Aceman's Acoustic Board - Now Complete!

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
I started with my pedals, some would, and a desired configuration:

Planet Waves Tuner, Monte Allums Compressor, Zoom Acoustic Pedal, Digitech Chorus Factory, Boss Digital Delay, and Aphex Acoustic Exciter

The Exciter and Compressor stay on all the time, so I put them up top. The stuff that gets used is on the front grow.

Then, I cut some spacers to stack the tiers, and cut a hole for the power cord. I glued the spacers together with wood glue.

Then, I drilled some holes for some cord ties. I wrapped those around the power strip, which was turned on its side.

I screwed the top on, so I could unscrew to access the bottom if I want to for any reason. Then I put a couple of Velcro strips down on the board and the pedal backs. I know - I'm short a strip on the top. I'll fix that tomorrow. The Chorus factory doesn't hold the velcro well either...

And here is the finished board! I decided that since this was an Acoustic board, I'd leave it natural.

So I've got all my pedals where I want them, I've got space for an A/B switch or a small Looper or whatever, and I've got power. I like it!!!!

Now for my next acoustic gig...
I'll try to get a sound check/sample up tomorrow so you can see what all of those pedals really do to my Ovation.

Awesome... nice work!

But have you fully considered the tonal implications of leaving the wood natural? ;)

Re: Aceman's Acoustic Board - Now Complete!

If I spill some beer, I can always paint it later.

Very cool. About the only difference in mine is I sloped the tiers for a little easier access. What mods were done to your compressor? I have one for sale, we don't get along very well.

Monte Allums Ultra Mod Plus

Acoustic exciter and Compressor really make this guitar 'pop.'

Thanks Aceman. I looked into his stuff and I think I'll try it. Nobody has hit on the sale yet.

Re: Aceman's Acoustic Board - Now Complete!

You know - I realize I could have done a better job - but I really just needed functional, and this does it. I could have cut cleanrt, glued more aligned, etc...and painted/finished. But hey, I'm very happy with it out of the gate.

I'll be getting some clips of of the tones in a bit. Gotta change strings first.

Added the second velcro strip to the top today. I'm much happier...

STill changing strings and showing just what those pedals all can do here soon.
