Achieving this tone?

Hey.

I was wondering how I could achieve the kind of tone the lead guitarist has. His guitar is pretty weird, LP shape with single coils, Floyd Rose and 24 frets... I think he has SD pickups.

It sounds like a pretty traditional Alnico 5 strat pickup, much like Edge's tone in U2. Pickups like the Antiquity II Surfers and SSL-1's would work, but since there's a bit of gain and FX going on....I'll suggest that you look into the STK-S4 classic stack plus set. It's Duncan's newest noiseless traditional singles, but they're far better than the Fender Noiseless. I'll allow you to have that traditional sound without the hum, especially when using OD and FX.

A good pedal to have for spacey FX like this is the Line 6 delay (green).
