ACK! I hate being indecisive!

Well, I currently have the Jackson Dinky on credit (I own it, but I'm still paying for it). It's a nice guitar and all, but I'm not sure if it's really "me", if you know what I mean. I know the Jackson cult ( ;) ) here will probably push me towards the Jackson, but I discovered a hidden secret. I mean sure, the Dinky has the Sustainiac system (and I've pinpointed exactly which one, too), but if I were to get another guitar I could give in and spend the extra $200, and have a guitar that suits me and my style, along with an awesome feature.

The guitar that I've kind of 'discovered' was the Epi Goth Les Paul. Now, I'm not a big fan of the matte black finish, with the black hardware and all, but I've always been GASing for a Paul, and I've also been GASing for a Floyd. The LP mixes the two together, so I might just switch over the credit from the Jackson to the Paul.

What are your opinions on it all? I mean, I like the feel of the guitar (the neck is starting to get to me though, and I don't know it is), but it just doesn't really suit my style, and it isn't really "me". If I got the LP, then I'd eventually have to put in the Sustainiac if I was really eager, but I'm gonna be getting enough money over the course of the fall/winter season that I could eventually pay for both the guitar and the Sustainiac system.

So, again, what are your opinions on it all? I love the LP shape; sure, everybody has one, but it just has that.. "pizzazz" that makes it worth it all. I'm really fond of the Jackson, but the LP has been grabbing my attention for a year plus now, and to own one with a FR and a Sustainiac system would be totally orgasmic.

Sorry for the wall of text; I had a lot to say ;)

Re: ACK! I hate being indecisive!

The only things I really dislike about the Epi Goth LP are tiny frets, silly fat neck, and the 24.75" scale.

Oh yeah, and the inferior craftsmanship :D

Re: ACK! I hate being indecisive!

Yeah, Epi are kind of notorious for producing a sickening amount of Lemons, but I've noticed these days that the craftsmanship is getting better. I'd rather spend six to seven hundred on medium quality than nearly $1,500 for medium quality *cough Gibson cough*

Re: ACK! I hate being indecisive!

Here I go again with my indecisiveness. If anybody can recommend me a single-cut with a Floyd Rose for under $800 USD, that'd be great.

Look for an old ESP Eclipse.
