Acoustic Pickup

Just picked up a vintage Silvertone archtop, was in the market for something with a built in pickup/mic/preamp but she was to good of a deal to pass up. Looking to add a pickup and need some suggestions, f hole not sound holes so that narrows it down and i don't want to perform surgery on the guitar. Thinking something like a jazz neck tab pickup with a output that i can run under the pickguard. Thinking I may also need a acoustic preamp pedal such as a body res if you have any experience or preference you recommend (ill see how i like just the pup before i drop the extra on a pedal but its nice to have options should i need them.

The guitar will be kept in D standard and i like a good warm low end.

Without surgery, I don't believe any current Duncan acoustic pickups would work. However, we did make 'Soundspots' in the past that might still be at stores. Basically, they were round transducers that stuck to the inside of the soundboard. You may go on a search for those.

does it have a pickguard like some jazz boxes? if so there are pups that mount under that like the benedetto s6
