Acrylic picks in general?

I've never used one. Are these picks more flexible or less flexible than other picks of the same thickness?

With the sample-mania we are currently enjoying, I've noticed that they don't seem to be offered in my thickness of choice - 1mm.

The .75mm to 1.5mm seems to be a pretty big jump.

I've been using 1.5 picks for about 3 years now after using .75 for 25 years+. I LOVE them. I use Dunlop Tortex Sharps. Nice plink to them too.

thats what i thought too, but i did not ask for a sample.

IME, they're less flexible than other picks of the same thickness.

Re: Acrylic picks in general?

They're less flexible than Tortex picks of the same thickness, for sure. But pretty comparable to Ultex, if the one that Gravity sent me is any indicator. It's a .75 and feels almost exactly as stiff as the .73 Ultex picks I've used.

Cool, Thanks guys!

If they're less flexible, obviously the .75 or .80 will be the ticket for me.

I'm using the Clayton Acetals - I'm not sure if its more like like Ultex or tortex...

I've since requested a sample. I'll see what sample they send then I'll know to go thicker or thinner.

Thanks!
