ADA MP-2

Re: ADA MP-2

I wonder what Atomic Tommy did to get the center spot. I like him fine, but those are some A-level names surrounding him!

I don't think most of them were as big then as they would soon be. I think UFO at the time had a video that was getting played a lot. So he may have had more name recognition.

Seriously! Kirk Hammett and Marty Friedman are shoved to the side. I wonder how much cash they were offered for this advertising. Class of '89 would have been after And Justice For All and Master Of Puppets. I'll give you Friedman because he had yet to appear on a Megadeth album until 1990.

Re: ADA MP-2

I don't know why anyone would want equipment that old when it screams late 80's - early 90's???

EVERY piece of Gear I own almost is from that era. Both my Boogies are early 90's 2 of my Carvin guitars and my X50 head the same era all my USA Washburn MG's are early to mid 90's and my 2/12 Fender cab is late 80's. Yep they ALL SCREAM!
Ran a few different rack rigs back in te 90's but personally never cared for the ADA tone it was to harsh and buzzy to me. Ran a JMP=1 9200 Marshall set up for a while a Carvin Tone Navigator and Rockman stuff though. Yes you absolutely need a TUBE power amp with one of those ADA rigs to warm it up!!

Re: ADA MP-2

Guys, LLL is being sarcastic. If people followed the Rockman thread, that much is obvious.

Yep spot on remember that time period well.

That might be true. White Lion had, however, already had their sophomore album do far better in the US than anything UFO ever did. Oh well, I guess playing in a well-established band meant something.
